Virginia Highland Summerfest One of Intown Atlanta's very best festivals is almost here! Virginia Highland Summerfest is celebrating it's 34th year of art, music, food and fun for the whole family. along the tree-lined streets of Virginia Avenue (between North Highland and Park Drive).  Get the full scoop on the 2017 festival... WHEN June 3 and 4, 2017 10 am to 11 pm on Saturday (artist's market closes at 6:30 pm) 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday WHERE VAHI Summerfest 2017 is runs along the tree-lined streets of Virginia Avenue (between North Highland Avenue and Park Drive) and includes John Howell Park. 5K ROAD RACE & TOT TROT One of Atlanta's favorite road races, the Summerfest 5K takes you through the winding, tree-lined streets of Virginia Highland. The 5K Race starts at 8 AM on Saturday and is now an official AJC Peachtree Road Race qualifier. All participants also receive a 2017 Summerfest t-shirt. At 9:15 AM, the Tot Trot begins on the lawn on John Howell Park and kids under 7 are able to run, walk (or crawl) to the finish line! Overview of VAHI Home Sales in 1Q 2017  VIRGINIA HIGHLAND HOME SALES Between January and March, 15 homes sold in Virginia Highlands.  This is down 25% from the same time last year and about 15% less than the average of the last five years. The lower number of homes sold wasn't due to lack of demand, just a shortage of real estate listings.  At the time of this post, there are only 19 homes for sale in Virginia Highlands. Virginia Highland Homes Sales & Market Trends Report 3Q 2016 (July-Sept) :: Brought to you by Nest Atlanta Real Estate Group The Virginia Highland real estate market seemed to be slowing down over the last few quarters, but it popped right back up again with a large percentage of million dollar home sales and lower inventory caused almost half of the listings to sell in less than two weeks.  Read the full Virginia Highland Home Sales and Market Trends Report.... . 3Q 2016 VAHI Market Trends Report Virginia Highland Home Sales 26 homes sold in the 3rd quarter of this year, which is DOWN 30% from the same time last year. Inventory levels are still quite low, with less than 3 months of Virginia Highland listings for sale and only one new home was listed in the last week. We think there are two issues at play... Buyers are getting priced out of the neighborhood.  23% of the homes sold last quarter were over a million dollars and if you look at the current Virginia Highland homes for sale, over 40% of the listings are over a million dollars.
